I am originally from Grantsville, Utah and have made Cheyenne my home for the past 17 years. I had an amazing 25 career as a demolition contractor. While working in the construction industry, I started taking art classes at LCCC and felt called to help others overcome challenges and assist them in healing, finding peace, and living their best, most satisfying lives. After 16 years, sometimes one class per semester, I obtained in 2021 my Associate’s of Arts in Psychology at LCCC, and in 2023 my Bachelor’s in Social Work at the University of Wyoming. I am currently obtaining my Master’s degree at the University of Wyoming. My ultimate goal is to be a LCSW therapist in the State of Wyoming. I am grateful for the opportunity to be an intern at Specialty Counseling and Consulting.
My greatest strengths are positivity, optimism and having a passion for life. I am a creative problem solver, empathetic, loyal, resilient and compassionate. I am results oriented, inquisitive, open minded, and curious. I have a thirst for learning new things and experiencing all this life has to offer.
I am honored to be invited into people’s personal lives as a helping professional and take this privilege seriously. I work from a strengths perspective and focus on what is possible while acting as an empathetic support system. I have a special interest in trauma informed care, DBT, EMDR and CBT.
I have been married to my soulmate for 25 years and God has entrusted us to raise a beautiful daughter. In my free time you can find me paddle boarding, skiing, reading, traveling, trying new things, and enjoying all forms of art.
