Thank you so much for choosing to start your counseling journey with me! I am so honored to be able to help you take these next steps toward healing and want to recognize the vulnerability it takes to reach out.
What led me to counseling is my personal belief that we are all made in the image of God who desires healing through unconditional love and grace for all of us. In addition, my passion for serving others with a faithful and compassionate heart continued to help shape this. I had the opportunity to work with at-risk youth in a Residential setting where I was able to walk alongside many adolescents and their unique stories. I received my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Colorado Christian University in 2022
My primary client focus is working with adolescents, adults, and parents (including foster and adoptive). I utilize Cognitive-Behavioral which focuses on challenging negative thoughts and behavior to move towards effective coping mechanisms and emotion regulation, Client-Centered which allows you, as the client, to have a safe environment to process and talk through your thoughts and behavior while being challenged relationally, and Psychodynamic approaches which provide insight into unconscious behavior and cognitive distortions, in my clinical practice. My goal is to create a safe space to foster a genuine and trusting relationship that allows us to work together to set you on the path to achieving your goals and feel more equipped to step into life’s challenges.
In my free time, I enjoy laughing with friends, coffee shops, anything outdoors, and running! I also love hearing people’s stories and what makes them intricately themselves! Also, will gladly end and start my day blaring some Taylor Swift (and not mad if it’s during the day as well).
