I’m one of the lucky few who knew I wanted to be a therapist by the age of twelve. After taking as many psychology classes as I could in high school, I went on to earn my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Minor in Women and Gender Studies from the University of Colorado, Boulder in 2019. I then obtained my Master of Social Work degree at the University of Denver in 2022 following two year long internships, one of which was at a residential facility for at-risk youth and another here at Specialty.
I enjoy working with people of all ages, but particularly love working with children, adolescents, and young adults. In terms of modalities, some of my favorites include Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) while often coming from a strengths-based approach. I believe that everyone who walks through the door is resourceful and resilient, sometimes it just takes some guidance to see oneself in such a light while experiencing adverse conditions.
I was fortunate enough to be born and raised in Fort Collins, Colorado. In my free time, I enjoy yoga, paddle boarding, cooking, reading, traveling, and spending time with my friends and family. However, more often than not, I can be found with my golden retriever, Fletcher, and Akita mix, Skyloh.
