Counseling is not just about “getting over” something, but rather about “growing through” something. Allow me to be a part of this process and journey with you!
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Licensed Addiction Counselor in Colorado and Wyoming. In addition, I have been trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) in which I have been utilizing for years. I have worked with teens, young adults and adults now for over 20 years.
I utilize several counseling techniques, approaches, and orientations within my therapy sessions. These include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy, Systems Therapy, Reality Therapy, Interpersonal Neurobiology, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, EMDR (Trauma-Based counseling), and Christian Counseling.
I have lived in Colorado since 2001 and in Fort Collins since 2004. My family and I love where we live and greatly enjoy all the amenities that Colorado has to offer. I grew up playing all kinds of sports in a small rural town in Texas. We are Texas Tech fans and watch as many games as we can. During my free time, I spend most of that with my wife and two kids. We love doing all kinds of family activities with one another. In the last few years I have focused more on fitness and wellness and have taken up Mountain Biking as my main interest and hobby.
I have been a part of many aspects of counseling throughout the years and I collectively use those experiences, trainings, and insight to assist me today. However, in the end, I know that most powerful part of counseling is simply being present, attuned and connected with you!
