Hello! I’m Corey Martin. I was a Civil Engineer for 7 years before I decided I wanted to switch careers. I completed my Master’s degree for Clinical Mental Health Counseling from University of Northern Colorado in September 2022, and I am excited towork in the mental health field!
Personally, I enjoy outdoor activities like hiking, volleyball, running, and the occasional bike ride. I like visiting local breweries and distilleries too. If the engineering degree didn’t give it away, I have a nerdy side as well: I love a good board game, and Dungeons and Dragons holds a special place in my heart.
Professionally, I approach counseling from a primarily Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Person-Centered perspective, with a dash of Rational-emotive behavioral therapy and dialectical behavioral therapy as well. I want to specialize in trauma, sexual addiction, and EMDR therapy as I gain more experience. I love working with adults, and I have a passion for working with men.
