Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What Insurance does Specialty Counseling and Consulting Accept?
Specialty Counseling & Consulting, LLC wants to help ensure you can receive services no matter what insurance coverage and payment options you have available. SCC accepts most insurance plans at its different locations. However, just because a plan is listed does not mean you are covered. It’s important you contact your insurance provider to verify your coverage and cost before you seek services. Insurances accepted include:
Medicaid, Medicare, Cigna, BCBS, Tri-Care, UMR/UHC, United, Aetna, Beacon (Carelon), ACI Specialty Benefits, Mertain, TriWest – VA Patients, ComPysch, All One Health, Mountain Health, First Choice, UC Health, Simplified Benefits, Carelon, ComPysch EAP, Tri-West, Optum, Mines & Associates, Acentra (Kepro), Living Well, and ESI.
If you don’t see your insurance provider listed above or have additional questions, please contact our billing office at 307-426-4797
If you do not have insurance please contact our office for more information. We can most likely work something out that fits your situation. Everyone deserves to have access to the help they need.
Q: What if I do not want to or am unable to meet in person with a counselor?
Specialty Counseling offers both in office appointments as well as telehealth options. Our providers are here to help you, no matter where you are at or if you aren’t able to come to the office. Reach out to be connected with a therapist who is right for you!
Q: What approach does Specialty Counseling take when working with families?
A: Specialty Counseling & Consulting is dedicated to serving youth and families in the community.
Our approach is to be involved personally with families and individuals but not be invasive; to be comprehensive in treatment, but not complicated or confusing. We believe answers often come after changing the small but important things in our lives. Although those changes can be difficult, we provide support and guidance. We also believe that it is not only important to provide quality services to families, but equally important to provide such services as openly and conveniently as possible to clients.
We do not attempt to “fix” families or individuals, nor do we see ourselves as the sole “experts.” Instead, we use a joint approach and work with clients to design goals and a counseling approach that we can all take ownership in. We can provide counseling to you either at our offices, or within the context of your home or community.
Q: What should I expect from my first visit?
A: We typically begin with a conversation about the following:
- What led you to contact us?
- What are you hoping for or expecting from the counseling process?
- What are some goals or changes you would like to see accomplished?
- What are some methods you have already tried in dealing with the issue or problem?
- Which methods have worked and which ones have not?
- What to bring to the first session?
Q: What will I need to bring?
A: The following is information you will need to bring with you. This will help our initial evaluation go as smoothly as possible:
Date of Birth
Social Security Number
Your private insurance or Medicaid card
Contact Information (phone numbers and physical address)
Psychological or Psychiatric evaluations done within 1-2 years (if any)
Q: What types of certifications do your counselors have?
A: Our counseling team consists of highly qualified professionals who hold both Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in relevant fields. They are licensed clinical therapists and case managers, ensuring that they are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to provide effective mental health support. Additionally, our clinic is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF), which reflects our commitment to maintaining high standards of care and service quality.
Q: Is all my information confidential?
A: Absolutely! We are bound by clinician/client confidentiality and HIPAA rules and Regulations.
Q: How do I get in contact with the Corporate Compliance Officer?
A: We hope you are receiving quality services from SCC. However, in the event you have a formal complaint, please reach out to our Human Resources Director, Brandi Jones, via email at hr@specialtycounseling.com.
